The Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was founded with a bold and unifying mission: to build a powerful voice for Latino entrepreneurs and create pathways to economic opportunity across Long Island. In the early 1990s, a dedicated group of Hispanic business owners, professionals, and community leaders recognized the urgent need for an organization that would not only represent their shared interests but also provide meaningful support to help Latino businesses thrive.

What began as informal gatherings in small community spaces quickly gained momentum. These early meetings were more than just networking events—they were acts of vision and solidarity. United by a common purpose, these pioneers worked to uplift one another, exchange knowledge, and open doors that had long been closed to minority-owned businesses.

Through perseverance, collaboration, and an unwavering belief in the power of community, the Chamber steadily grew into a regional force. Over the years, it has become a trusted partner, advocate, and catalyst for success—offering mentorship, business development programs, policy advocacy, and access to essential resources for hundreds of Hispanic-owned businesses.
